Are you passionate about making marine science accessible? Do you enjoy turning complex research into clear and engaging content? Are you curious about kelp science and excited to help translate our work in bite-sized knowledge and outreach materials? Then this internship might be for you!
We are looking for a Science Communication Intern to help us share our research and insights with a broader audience through whitepapers, short articles, educational materials, and digital content.
Responsibilities
- Translate scientific research and project results into accessible content
- Support the writing and editing of whitepapers, reports, and blog posts
- Create short-form pieces (website content, infographics, LinkedIn/Instagram posts, one-pagers)
- Assist in developing educational and explainer content for non-specialist audiences
Requirements
- Strong writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to grasp and distill scientific information clearly
- Familiarity with topics such as kelp, carbon sequestration, biodiversity, ocean acidification, and ecosystem services
- Experience with writing or editing science communication is a plus
