- Fundraising & Grant Writing Intern
Location The Netherlands
Duration 5-6 months
Hours 24 hours (flexible)
Language Proficiency in English required; Dutch preferred

Are you passionate about fundraising and eager to make a real impact in ocean restoration and protection? Do you enjoy identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and building relationships with donors? Then this internship might be for you!
We are looking for a Fundraising & Grant Writing Intern to support our efforts in securing funding through grants, donor relations, and fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research grant opportunities, potential donors and funding sources.
- Assist in drafting, editing, and submitting grant proposals.
- Assist in developing project descriptions, one-pagers, and pitch decks.
- Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Support fundraising initiatives such as crowdfunding campaigns and events.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Interest in marine science, environmental conservation and NGO work.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with fundraising or grant writing is a plus but not required.

We are looking for a Communications & Social Media Intern to help amplify our message, share our scientific findings, engage our community, and build relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Create engaging posts, graphics, and videos to promote our projects.
- Assist in writing newsletters, blog articles, and press releases.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments/messages.
- Update website, pitch decks and project brochures.
- Support in communications through storytelling and impact reports.
Requirements
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Affinity with kelp/marine science, environmental and social impact
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to create visual content (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools are a plus).
